The North Bay, even nowadays, is a small port with taverns and houses. The southern bay has a beautiful beach paved with large white pebbles and crystal clear waters, which in combination with the neighbouring gorge, give Damouchari a wild beauty. Damouchari was even the location for the filming of the first Mamma Mia (which broke the box office).
